How to Reorganize Your Life

1) Look at your available resources.

-Everyone has some aspect of their life where they feel constraint. For some people, this may be finances. For others, it may be physical energy. Other people may feel they are lacking in social circles. For me personally, in this moment, I feel stretched to my max. So, if you are like me, what needs to be done to reorganize your life in order to live the life you are capable of living?

2) Decide what is within your power and control to change, and what isn't.

-Realistically, for me in my present moment, I FEEL, what is within my control, is how I choose to spend the very limited resources at my disposal to prove that I am a capable adult and parent to those who have more power and control than me. I do this by choosing not to drown my grief in alcohol, I choose to spend my energy towards strengthening my body, I choose to intentionally unpack my traumas and my belongings, and I choose to do my best to meet people where they are at.

3) Decide what is worth keeping and what can be let go.

-I have a lot of goals that I am choosing to let go of right now. Even though I hoped to be a paid artist, realistically my career is something I need to let go of. By choosing to donate the craft items, fabric, hats, and clothes that I was planning to use in my shop space, I am also choosing to create space in my apartment. Energetically, I am creating space in my life to work on this, Virgo Moon Coaching, and more importantly, parenting through and after, divorce.

4) Take a look at what you are consuming.

-Most people think of consumption as food or drugs, however I like to challenge myself to also think of consumption as what words and music I hear and read. Most people are aware of folks who make dietary changes because they may not like having gas or bloating - for them, eating (consuming) dairy or gluten, may not be worth what comes out of them. I've noticed, depending on what I'm listening to, I may not always like the words and energy that come out of me. This is why I choose the podcasts, people, and music I have around me.

5) Follow through with your plans, and be willing to renegotiate with yourself.

-I want and plan to make videos with grounded content, however, I also don't like my energy enough right now to be creating the sort of content people would like to consume. No one reads anything anymore, at least that's what it seems like. So, I have chosen to renegotiate my own goals and plans, and instead chart a path that not only will hopefully make my children proud of me, but more importantly, make myself feel proud of my strength as a woman.

Adulting can be horrible. But at least it's not as bad as being a kid. Adults have more power and control than kids, so it's up to adults to stop stretching our energies past the point of breaking, so that we don't inadvertently break the children in our lives, or ourselves.
